Silver Coast

The Silver Coast was voted one of the top overseas investment hotspots,no wonder with towns like Obido,Foz do Arelho, Nadadouro, Sao Martinho, Nazare, Famalicao, Peniche, Caldas da Rainha, Alcobaca and many more little villages. golf resorts like Bom Sucesso (Obidos Lagoon), Praia del Rey (Obidos), Atlantic (Peniche), Golden Eagle (Rio Maior), Vimeiro (Torres Vedras).
There are many things to consider when investing abroad apart from price and Portugal offers a considerable lot! The Silver Coast has many beautifully and interesting areas, undiscovered by most Europeans . People here the name Portugal and immediately think of the Algarve but there is a lot more to Portugal, in the Silver Coast you can discover pretty villages and sample the real Portuguese way of life , with some of the best coastline in Europe, the people are friendly and welcoming and the wine is fantastic.

The weather is very good with temperatures of 35plus in the summer and a very mild winter.

Caldas de Rainha

One of the oldest spa towns in Europe, the town is quite literally the hub of the surrounding towns such as Foz do Arelho, Sao Martinho, Bombarral, Obidos, Salir do Porto and many more of the small villages that are scattered around the surrounding countryside. Caldas has a wonderful shopping centre with many shops selling international goods and designer labels, it has seasonal sales that offer these goods at fantastic bargain prices, sometimes offering as much as 75% of normal prices, so at the sale times grab yourself a bargain!

There are a number of beaches within a short drive of Caldas de Rainha :- Foz do Arehlo, Sao Martinho, Saldalgo, and many more small secluded beaches.

Foz do Arelho

Foz do Arelho is situated on the mouth of Obidos Lagoon, the lagoon is a sea water lagoon and has lovely sandy beaches,it is a popular for sporty people and family's, with sheltered beaches surrounding the lagoon and surf beaches fronting the Atlantic Ocean.

 

Obidos

A must for any visitor to the area, a world heritage site, a fortified hilltop village with a 16th century aqueduct, with cobbled streets and quaint houses within the medieval walls obidos is a real gem and defiantly not to be missed!

 

Sao Matinho do Porto

A lovely horseshoe fishing bay, here is a good beach for children with a clam sea and lovely sandy beach.
An upmarket seaside town with lots of investment over the past couple of years and more to come.
